A little help

My daughter wanted to make a memory bear for a sister in law having a baby boy any day now. He is made out of her uncles shirt. The baby will be named after him and can now have a bear to snuggle made from his shirt. She loved it and my sweet daughter was pleased. I helped her cut and sew and stuff. She added a nose before passing it on, but here it is.
I have also been practicing on my new machine. Here is another try with new thread.
I wish I could get a better close up but the quilting turned out really nice and I was bold and did a border. Love the way It turned out.

Busy, Busy

I have been so busy, busy sewing! I quilted up 3 quilts this past few weeks. The centers were already finished and I needed to add the borders. I added those and quilted them up on the new machine. I ended up going back to my old machine because I could not get the thread  to stop breaking! It is The Bottom Line thread that I love but very fine , 60wt. they are not the best but I got some good experience.

The third one I gave away already. It had the zoo animals on as well. I forgot to get a picture. It was a bit different but very cute.
I added the extra pieces on the back.
Two more on the stash. I'm still working on a pink one. the top will be finished tonight and then my new thread to go along with the new machine may be more successful. good weekend plan!
